STATEMENT OF UNITY

The Anarchist Bookfair is a dynamic gathering—a place for anarchists and those curious about anarchy to share space and skills, exchange ideas, and build community. The Edmonton Anarchist Bookfair is run by a collective of volunteers that embraces the principles of:

Collective emancipation: A liberatory project devoted to the lifting of all peoples through collective efforts and participation.

Solidarity: An injury to one is an injury to all.

Mutual aid: Building capacity to help one another through voluntary cooperation.

Horizontalism: Structures and governance based on equitable relationships and bottom-up organization.

Informed by the principles of anarchism and by the contexts of our shared struggles, we work to encourage the cultivation of radical imagination. By having conversations about anarchism and how it applies to our struggles, we hope to build a more connected, resilient, and joyful movement.
